I'm a senior citizen and am quite aware that there is more time behind me than ahead of me. Not that that fact is in any way depressing. It's not the past or the future we live in, but the present. I take one day at a time and enjoy the simple pleasures, and the not so simple ones, of being alive. It helps that I live in a very charming city with sports, cultural activities, great restaurants and parks. Also I donate time to help others less fortunate than I and I aggressively seek new friends.

Under such circumstances, there is not much one can do...
So, the best is to let Time flow over him as if he himself is not present. Absence is the word. A man should be watching himself aching, should be watching the Sun setting in his veins, as if all this was happening to somebody else. It is strange, but this watching of ourself, distracts our Mind from desperation. This watching of ourself makes desperate feelings, numb.
