Was a sprinter in high school. Before a big meet, we were playing around off the track kicking a soccer ball around. Most of us had barefeet but one guy had his running spikes on. He stepped on my foot. I kept running around until someone screamed. As soon as I looked down, the pain started. My foot was sliced open in two places down to the bone. Ended up with 16 stitches and didn't get to run in my race. :-( Hurt for about 2 weeks.

I stretched the ligaments in my ankle to the most the could go i.e. could stretch no further while playing football with the children in the nursery I worked. I had it x rayed as the doctor thought it might be broken, wish it had been broken at least that can be fixed. I'd say it was about 3/4 weeks before it felt better, however it hurts even still when I am driving, cycling, been standing to long etc. Also broke my nose playing football and damaged my coxix rollerblading!

I broke my ankle and my leg 4 years ago while mountain biking. I was in hospital for 3 weeks, laid up for 9 months, and 4 years on still can't walk too far as it gets very painful. I have been told i will get severe arthritis in my ankle joint, so i guess it is a life long injury x

I was skiing and mistook an ice covered rock for a jump. I went flying and ended up popping bones out of place in my wrist. I also lost my sunglasses, and refused to let my friend set my wrist untill we found them. He finally did set my wrist, but ever since then, the bones pop out of place at the slightest agrivation. Sometimes it doesn't hurt that much, and I can fix it myself, but other times it hurts so much that I cant move my arm. Anyways, I think that I'll be feeling that one for a long time. Another time, I tripped over a ball on the soccer field and got kicked in the temple. I passed out, but I finished the game, with a major concussuon. I then spent the next three days in a hospital. That one hurt.

I have had quite a few from playing backyard football, but the most painful happened in phys ed. class when I was in high school.
We were playing hockey in the gym and the ones who weren't playing had to guard the glass doors so nobody ran into them.
A hard slap shot hit me right on my ankle bone.
I was on crutches for about a week.
Those pucks are HARD. LOL

I've only really had two serious injuries.

I broke my rib while playing rugby - it's such a brutal game!
That took a couple of months to fully heal.

I also broke my leg while skiing! It was a school thing, so I was embarrassed more than anything.
I wasn't that upset though, at least it was at the end of the trip!

I ran into a concrete bench about a year ago and tore a muscle and done serious damage to my leg and I'm still in pain now. Luckily I can still run but I'm not that good with long walks anymore.

Lucky enough, I have not yet suffered any and all sports/exercise injuries.

My ankle joint was in pieces from a soccer injury. They put it back together with screws. It took a few months until I was able to walk again.
