Go to the web site of the printer. and look for the downloads of your make and product number you may have to have the serial number too and or shop receipt.

Well, without the disk you cannot use the printer. You need to seek for a replacement and you cannot download from the Internet. When buying a new CD-Installer give them the model of the printer and they will give you a replacement. Otherwise look for the CD.

It is very simple to install the Driver for any type of printer if you have the CD of the Printer, just insert the CD in to you computer CD-Room then start the installation or you can download the Drive from the Menafature of the printer Web Site for free, only if you have the Internet Connection

Go to the website for that printer and download the drivers. For example if it is a Cannon printer, go to Cannon's official website. Once on the site search for the drives for your printer model. The site will have the drives and usually walks you through how to download them on your computer. If this is a problem some companies (for a fee) will send you a disk.

I had the same thing happen with one of the printers I owned. I went to the company website (HP for me) and was able to download everything from the website. If this is not an option at this time, email the company and see if there is any way you can get a CD from them so you can install the printer.

Good luck to you!

Hello eetheberry,

I agree with qman.

Go to the website of the company who produced your printer and you should be able to find the driver you require for your particular model of printer.

If you have an HP printer you should find drivers for all the models, but if you are using Vista you may find you have to use an alternative HP printer driver.

Go to your printer manufacturer's website and look for product support, then downloads. The wording varies a bit. You may be able to search for your product (like deskjet 3820 drivers) in a search window. Anyways find the driver/s for your printer and operating system, download them, and then install.

Can't you look up the name and model of the printer on line and download the instructions.

Simply plug it in your USB port or whatever connection your computer has and turn it on.....your computer will automatically detect the printer....I never use the discs that come with the printers.....Good luck to you
