Okay, I like masturbating time to time, but, I keep getting second thoughts, like, if I do this, will God stop helping threw my difficulties like he's been doing magnificently? God is my Lord, he helps me threw EVERYTHING, I feel like He's telling me it's not a sin, but something tells me it is. I am a born again Christian by the way.
I'd appreciate some advice from some fellow Yahoo members!
Thanks and Have a Great Day!!

obviously god doesn't help you spell, because otherwise you'd know it's "through", not "threw"

Dude, find the bit in the bible that tells you that Jesus doesn't want you to masturbate and make your decision from there. (You wont find it in the bible)
I can't ever recall.... there's something about seed on the ground.. but that's got something to do with whores... I dont know. I reckon if we werent meant to be able to masturbate our arms would be shorter or sommat.
Anyway.. you decide what's in your heart. Try to avoid lusting.. and think happy thoughts :)
There is nothing physically detrimental that comes from masturbation and I have no idea why God would be down against it... but then I am apathetic agnostic.. so you gotta decide for yourself if you are going to make a moral objection.

If masturbating keeps you from doing horrible things like rape, child molesting, etc., then I say whack on. Besides, it's perfectly normal. God gave you the penis to begin with and that great feeling you get from an orgasm didn't come from the devil. Look, Men's Health magazine recently stated that masturbating several times a week can help prevent prostate cancer. Your body is a temple and I know that God would like you to take care of the temple. Besides, some where in the Bible there is reference to to masturbating. The verse says something like, it is better to cast your seed to the ground than in the belly of a whore.

Study, my friend, and you'll learn that masturbation is as natural to humans as is air. You can find a million resources on the subject online. Here's a link to help you get started: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masturbation
An excerpt:
It is held in many mental health circles that masturbation can relieve depression, stress and lead to a higher sense of self-worth (Hurlbert & Whittaker, 1991).

You seem to be a very religious person and you are likely a very normal young man. You therefore are caught between religious teaching that says that masturbation is wrong and normal hormone activity that wants you to pleasure yourself.
You are the only person who can make a decision to either follow your religious beliefs and follow perfectly natural instincts.
You will not suffer any negative effects from masturbating! It is not harmful and in some cases may even provide relief in a private way rather than forcing yourself on a woman.
I urge you to pray and listen to God and your heart. There will likely be people here who will encourage you either way. This has to be your decision! Blessings!

The act of masturbation is not a sin. It is if you allow your mind to think of improper things while masturbating that is a sin. I am born again also. You may e-mail me from my profile if you have more questions about this.

Masturbating got nothing to do with religion. You just go ahead. It is given to you to enjoy, don't feel guilty about it.

nothing to worry about there. sure some people think god has rules against masturbation but if you read th e10 commandments and the teachings of jesus you won;t find any referente to 'thou shalt not masturbate". So despite the rules of man laid out in the bible, god didn't bother with any so go for it and enjoy.

Yeah why does the things that FEEL so freaking good are bad???????? WHY!!? but look I don't think its a sin since you're not commiting adultry or something. For me what makes it not a sin is the fact that its to yourself that you're doing it to, so no harm done there. Plus is nature right there why deny it?

OK this is what gets me in beliefs>Why cant everyone just be themselves like what goes on behind closed doors is in privacy is it NOT.The only one who can see you is God RIGHT.So how is it that God judges his children but yet we are suppose to raise our children NOT to judge????Yes we are to teach them right from wrong but really is masturbation a crime I think not.So to answer your question sometimes we just got to do what makes us feel good as long as it does not harm anyone else in the process.

Masturbation is normal and actually a healthy way to release your desires and explore your sexuality. Don't feel bad about it - God will NOT punish you for it and don't listen to anyone who says he will. I too am a Christian.
