I have signed tickets, posters and a bunch of other things that are dear to my heart, and I want to keep them for as long as I can. What typed of place laminates posters and things of that sort? Photo shops? I knew of this one place, it's well-known, but I can't think of the name.

Please help me!

Staples. Saw an ad on JoAnn fabrics and they have a 13" laminator for $4 to $10. Don' know anything else about it so you may be able to check the ad and also call them and ask what it is all about.

You have a few options...

Take it to your local photo or stationery shop - most have laminators.

Or purchase a laminator - they are inexpensive and easy to use

Or you can buy a product called cold laminate - which doesn't require a laminator.

BUT be warned that some items do not tolerate the heat required by a laminator and may be damaged in the laminating process. I know of a couple who decided to laminate their baby's ultrasounds only to discover the original images had been printed on heat sensitive paper - so they ended up with a totally black piece of paper.

Hope this helps,

Have you tried teacher stores? They generally do laminating. You could also try Kinko's and Staples. I am not sure if Office Max laminates. Also ask what time of laminating do they do...if they use a cold press it is a thicker, heavier type of film. I like this type best. The other type is thinner and often will peel away.

Some of the office supply places might do it. You could also buy sheets of laminating paper and do it yourself. This takes a few minutes, but is cheaper.

You can't laminate tickets....trust me...they are heat-sensitive and they turn pitch black when heated. I have a laminater at home and thank heavens,, only tried one ticket .
Its a security thing embedded in them...

Yes, you can. I used to do it "back in the day". I used a folded piece of construction paper and aluminum foil. It would put the aluminum foil on the inside and fold it all inside the construction paper. You have to be careful about over or under heating the card, but with practice it will work.

well why not buy youself your own laminater they do not cost alot of money and they are very quick and easy to use, you can get them from most shops. if you don't want to get you own laminater ask one of you friend who work in and office for you to help all offices have laminaters.

A copier shop or one of those FedEx places that makes copies and stuff could prolly do it, if not try a craft store and you can prolly buy your own laminater
