ode to garwy

this will do well
with folk who don't know
a poem from a cardboard box
goldilocks

you’ve stolen your topic
how unphilanthropic
and your metre’s a Longfellow
rip-off

despicable hag
deserves a red flag
but that would require a
keystroke

so listen up bloke,
while your chicken you choke
lend us no more
obnoxity

Well, send him to me. I'll straighten him out! Love your ode.

TD, I think it might be refreshing if I just got the "I hate your poetry e-mails." I usually just get the "I hate you personally e-mails." It's hard being so polarizing lol. At least in this thread, garwy answered back cleverly--I can sort of appreciate that despite the conflict.

I enjoyed your ode. I actually haven't seen a lot from you lately--and I've missed that.

Best,

Todd

I recognize this! You stole it from a cardboard box!

I have just checked his answers...I see what you mean.

Some people just take themselves too seriously here.

Your ode made me laugh, anyway!

I went and had a read.
I can't take the agony.
You make me beg and plead,
Not to pen those painful memories.

All I can say is: I <3 you.

Although, I must admit that garwy's "td ious" bit was really clever!

e.e. cummings never hit the shift key either. Poetry is more than CAPITALIZATION.
