Wow. This northerner is seriously thinking twice about moving to Texas now. I'm not a student of hatred.

This whole Jena 6 thing is really driving me up the wall. I cannot believe that this can even be happening. And I am sick and tired of hearing how "the black kids were wrong to act out in violence", its funny how all of this is being directed toward the black kids. What were the white kids doing hanging the nooses from the tree? What, were they "just joking", "just playing around", "there was no violence involved in their act". So lets flip this around, the black kids do something in this manner (something that would effect the white kids just as much, reminding them of their own grand and great-grand parents that had these horrible violent acts done to them), only something that would "symbolize violence" not an actual act. Seems like the black kids would get charged with something, say for example pre-meditated murder, etc. And I can bet my life that when the white kids came after the black kids and beat the **** out of them, they wouldn't get charged with nearly as much, surely not attempted murder. You know what the white kids would have been doing..protecting themselves, self defense. And they've got just about the whole world to back them up, so this would mean nothing to them. While on the other hand, the black kids know that if they were to take the case to court, rather than beating the kids up, there wouldn't be too much that they would be able to get out of it, because the white kids didn't perform any violent acts. BULL****! Tell me WHAT about hanging nooses from the "whites only" tree is not violent!!!! You know what, its easy for people to say that they should have not acted out in violence the way they did, using their "deadly weapons (tennis shoes)", but what do you expect them to do when acts as such have effected their own family so harshly in the past!?! Being reminded of something like that would hurt you enough, let alone these ignorant white kids using something like this to humor themselves. The black kids had to take it upon themselves to punish them, because it would have happened no other way..I mean what kind of punishment is school suspension? Most of us loved that little 3 day break when we got suspended! They deserved it to the fullest! Maybe even more! For them to get charged with attempted murder is out of this world..so I guess now, anytime there is a brawl everyone should get charged with attempted murder..right? I mean its only fair...Oh, I'm forgetting..we don't play fair here..its always the white man wins! We gotta do something about this, it's totally insane that these people should have to be living with this still in their lives, and these children should be scared to go to school, because if a white kid harasses them and they act upon it..they just might get charged with attempted murder! What kind of "united" country are we living in? Oh, I could go on and on about this! ...oh...p.s.- I'm white.

Unfortunately there still is racism but it needs to be addressed exposed and put the fire out. No matter what people have said about the south racism still rises it very ugly head. Shame on them. It brings the area down.
