The first one is not a great picture... you can't even see her whole head! From what I can see, it's a MESS of a dye job. She should FIRE her stylist! However, if I had to pick ONE color to categorize this train wreck, I would say that this is what my mother would call a "dishwater blonde" or a "dirty" blonde, but please people.... definitely NOT brunette!
The second one is definitely blonde... and much better at it!

She looks a little bit like a redhead , but since she has dark roots and eyebrows , I would consider her a brunette with highlights ( blond or redhead )

to me they are both blondes. maybe dark blonde but not dark enough to be brunettes.
a brunette to me looks like the one on the right (in the link) and your photos look more like the one on the left.
