Yes, having a cavity is normal.

I'm fourteen, and never had a cavity. But most people have atleast one cavity. There are many reasons people would get a cavity. So, yes its normal to have a cavity. But, if you do have one, and haven't gone to a dentist to take care of it you should, or it will get worse.

Just to add to the previous poster it's also possible to get cavities fromjust normal wear and tear...I have two and have been brushing my teeth twice a day since I was 6.

Cavity comes from having too much sweet soft drinks and sweets and not brushing your teeth morning and evening regularly. It could get worse if you dont see your dentist and have it filled. It is also very very painful if you leave it unattened.
