Both Buddha and Jesus, were sent to our dimension from the 8th dimension, by The Origins, from the 10th dimension..
Their teachings were misconstrued by the ancients and we now have religion as a major part of most people's lives..
The Christian religion is the most dangerous on the planet, followed by Islam...
I care not for religion on this planet, as the human race are like sheep, and a huge % were brainwashed from birth...

Very soon as we enter "The Shift" in 2012, many of you will wake up to who you really are and religion as we call it today will cease to exist...
Blessed Be.. )O(

For almost all the people who answered your question, has misconception on what Buddhism is,and after 2500 years most are still taking Buddhism as a religion,Buddhism is an education that teach you the laws of the universe and ways to live according to the laws of nature,so as to reach true happiness for others and self, the Dharma or Laws surpasses space and time, throughout the universe who is not a Buddhist? For,in time to come all have the ability to achieve Buddha-hood.[teachings or laws are not the ends,it is the means to the end,as the road signs is not the destination. So cling not to words but look within, good luck.]

Actually several sects of Buddhism have moved toward being more Christian like, where there is a savior. So really its kind of moving the other way (although even these sects with a savior are not believers in the bible.) However, they most of them consider Jesus to be a great teacher and wise person, but not God.

Well it kind of always has been. Its just that THE CHURCH does not benefit as much when its proceedings are low profile.

It sad to say that each individual church has to operate in the same way as businesses do. The true spirit may easily get lost in all the "bigness" of operating a church. This also happens with the bigger Buddhist organizations.

The true spirit of the church is small and personal, and does not have to involve selling cookies to raise money for the church to have a picnic. Really its small, and personal, which is not what businesses strive for..

I believe the Buddhism beliefs and way of life complement what is taught by Christianity. I think its nice sometimes to take a little but from everywhere and so you grow spiritually and as a person. Reading and discovering about other beliefs and religions can only strengthen your beliefs and knowledge of life in general

No because they compliment one another to a large degree. Unless an integration happens but that would require considerable effort and then what resulted would be neither Christianity or Buddhism. I know many will think I'm nuts but I have begun to follow both. They are a delight when together, like peanut butter and chocolate.

Love one another as I have loved you.

I think secularism is the future for everyone, but a key part of that will be the co-opting of many Buddhist thoughts, practices and ideas.

I don't think so, even though I admire Buddhists. I think that it is more likely Islam will be (and it is not a question of preference of mine).
