Immediate Action
Either use a treatment specifically formulated for use on skunk odors like Skunk Kleen or Skunk-Off, or use the following formula:
1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
1 teaspoon liquid soap
This recipe can be doubled for bigger breeds.
Wet your pet down and work the mixture through the pet's hair. Leave it on for three to four minutes and rinse. This will generally need to be repeated several times. Be sure to throw away any excess mixture. Do NOT get any of the mixture in the eyes; as a precaution, place protective ophthalmic ointment in the eyes.
Note that the above mixture may bleach the hair color temporarily until the animal sheds and new hair grows in. Common antidotes like tomato juice, vinegar, or regular shampoos will not be as effective.
Contact your veterinarian, if the eyes are severely affected, or the pet continues to vomit or retch.
Veterinary Care
General treatment: Bathing with a special formula will continue, and the eyes will be flushed with water or sterile saline.
Supportive treatment: Medications may be administered to help with the nausea, if present.

Years ago, I lived on a famr and owned a German Shepherd who loved everything and everybody EXCEPT skunks. He would get sprayed regularly about once a year (while he was killing the skunk). I kept a bunch of tomato products around to get rid of the smell.
For instance, he would get sprayed in his mouth, which would cause him to foam at the mouth. So, I would take his favorite treats and smother them in tomato paste. He would eat the treats and tomato paste and stop foaming at the mouth.
For his fur (which was quite long), I would mix tomato sauce with water and rub the liquid into his coat by hand.
I would guess I did this procedure about 10 times during his lifetime and it worked ok. The smell would not be eliminated 100%, but, it got rid of 80-90% of it. Good luck.

I had a dog that got sprayed a few years ago, and i must agree with the baking soda and peroxide mix, you can also add a little baby shampoo to it to make it easier to move around, if your dog is white and blond it shouldn't ruin her coat, may actually make it brighter, also, you might have to wash her a few times, and let it soak, skunk is a hard odor to get out and it really has to wear off completely but the wash helps ALOT!! good luck!
