I'll tell you why we're always our own worst critics.

Because most of us are actually HONEST with ourselves!!!

Most people are always too afraid to tell YOU THE TRUTH TO YOUR FACE! And why is this? Because the truth hurts. So therefore, most of the time, they will try to sugar-coat things and give you "politically-correct" answers!

Being your "own-worst-critic" is basically a trait within ourselves that keep us in check! It's part of our "gut instincts" that makes us aware of what is wrong - which then leads us to rectifying or correcting the wrong.

For example, let's say that you truly, indeed are an ugly person. And you asked your best friend, if they thought you were ugly. Do you actually think, they would ever tell you the truth?

Have you ever heard a friend or family member admit to someone they care about that they are truly ugly?

And don't give me this "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" crap because we all know there are ugly people out there!

Or asked a friend/family member, am I really selfish?, am I really a b**ch?, am I really an a**hole? Most of the time, our friends will just respond with "No, you're not really selfish, you're just ....." "No, you're not really a b**ch, you're just ......" No, you're not really an a**hole, you're just....." .. . My point is you will hardly ever hear a straight answer!

Yes, sometimes we can be overly critical of ourselves in a very unhealthy manner... or have a distorted perception of ourselves. So there has to be a balance. But for the most part that's just our gut-instincts telling us something is not right, correct it!!

Since we all live inside our own shell it is natural to over think everything about ourselves. I think if you aren't a little critical of yourself you not a very thoughtful person. We all should be aware of our own short comings . But not so critical you obsess over them. We are not always aware of the good things we do, I think we figure it's not that special.

yap,coz we are trying to be...
whom others_wants us to be...
living with their expectations,
i guess, this leads us
to look for our imperfections...
no one wants rejection, anyway...
but the thing is.....
It's a lot better fot the word to hate you,
Knowing you're bein true to yourself,
Rather than bein love,
Pretending to be sombody else....
We are unique individual,
In every way....

Are you a talking chihuahua? A girl earlier was asking us about dogs that talk, I was wondering if they could type too.

...and if we point them out to people, we end up looking worse than we have to and getting less respect.
