Kind of off the wall to relate to martial arts, but "The One Minute Manager" is an excellent read on the fundamental basics of how to properly motivate and treat people... It would be applied very well to an instructor, or even (as a student) how to help lower ranks progress.... but it is a stretch to relate it to martial arts

Sun Tsu's Art of war, the Tao of Po, the Te of piglet, Mental Poisening, Five Rings, Tao te ching... Thats all I can think of right off hand.

No. in case you attempt to check from a e book or the internet with out having an instructor to superb your errors, the terrific which you would be able to wish for is getting to know a thank you to do it INCORRECTLY. there are a number of advantageous factors which you will omit, which includes: Alignment of the foot, the wrist or another joint. respiration concepts. actual concentration. psychological concentration. Weight distribution. The record is going on and on... in case you pick to check any of the inner martial arts, you would be lost in the past you even start up.

The first I always give students to read is "Zen and the Martial Arts" by Joe Hyams, and 2nd in "Karate-do, My Way of Life" by Gichin Funakoshi.
