Single women often tell me they "know a guy" who seems to like them but who just won't make the first move. They say, "maybe he just needs a little encouragement." My theory is that most men know what they want; and if they don't act interested, they're not interested. My husband says that's generally true, but that over-40 men are more worried about rejection than they were 20 years ago. Which is it ? ... or is the answer somewhere in the middle?

At 40 there is so much going on in life, it's not the same from when we were in our 20's. For me, I don't even know what I want anymore. Attraction is so nice to have, at the same time I'm not sure I want to start all over again.

Im sure there are other reasons. I will check the answers you get out later.

From what I've heard, if you can find a guy in his fifty's, who isn't a drunk or a wife beater, and who holds a steady job, he is a keeper.
