Single women often tell me they "know a guy" who seems to like them but who just won't make the first move. They say, "maybe he just needs a little encouragement." My theory is that most men know what they want; and if they don't act interested, they're not interested. My husband says that's generally true, but that over-40 men are more worried about rejection than they were 20 years ago. Which is it ? ... or is the answer somewhere in the middle?
