Christianity does not believe this world is a test ........ otherwise they would have to admit that deeds are important.

Therefore, if this life is not a test then why doesnt Jesus answer the prayers of Christians for innocent children etc ?

.

Haha! He does! Just because He doesn't answer all prayers the way WE would like them to be answered, doesn't mean He doesn't answer.

You can do all the good deeds in the world and it will not save you, only the blood of Jesus can save you. Just like the Jews of old took a perfect lamb to the temple for sacrifice to cover their sins, all that was leading up to the perfect sacrifice of a man, a man with no sin to shed his blood for our sins, you cannot pay for your sins because that would mean you would have to die on judgment day. On judgment day Jesus will stand in your place and say he belongs to me. The bible says the wages of sin is death. G-D's way out is free Just accept the son of G-D as you savior, and try not to sin again and if you do you can ask for forgiveness through Jesus Christ our Lord. How do you know Jesus dose not answer prayer, just because you haven't witnessed it dose not mean he doesn't answer prayer. Who are you to question G-D and what prayers he will answer. Yes this world is a test and test between good and evil.

You see, Christians may not be, but God is wise.

If God answered every Christian's prayers, about 7.2 billion people would be outside by doorstep asking me to return their money :))

Sometimes, and I confess this is true in my case, our prayers are really, how do I say this -- ridiculously stupid?

On the flip side, what constitutes an answer?

"Mom, may I have the whole box of popsicles?" Typically, "YES" would be considered an answered prayer, or would you think "NO" is the right answer, or depending on the time of day, how about "Have one now, I will give you another after dinner!" -- or may be, have one now, tomorrow you can have another.

Really, our love is not in what we get, but what we give -- and that applies not just to us and God, but also us and others around us.

Good question. If there is a God, I don't think he would play favoritism. Wish I had a answer. But NO ONE has the answer, so no matter what christians say, they are just guessing. I used to believe in prayer and jesus until I realize NONE of my prayers were being answered, ever! I stopped believing that God 'tests' us, etc. because God also is NOT suppose to give you more than you can handle. Well, after years of being frustrated I decided there is no God/Jesus and no one is listening. This way I don't have to continue to think God is ignoring me. Now I just feel that "That's life!" and go with it. Life is just a roller coaster with it's ups & downs. Then you die and it's over. The end.

I believe deeds are important, but I am a Latter-day Saint and not considered a Christian by my fellow Christians.

:oP

And Christ does not only love the Christians, He loves everyone!

And to answer your question, in my opinion, if Christ were to answer all of our prayers and pleas, and wishes, etc... there would be no point in this life. We would be able to have all we demanded at a snap of His finger. Christ is not a genie. He is the way to God, but it is up to us to follow the righteous path, whether difficult or not.

I pray to him through prayer to seek comfort, and to ask for forgiveness. Sometimes I ask for help for myself and others, but it is not for me to question what He will or will not answer. Sometimes, after waiting, I find that I've had the strength to do it on my own.

There is so much to say in this regards, but if you want a better answer from me, you'll have to e-mail me... Then I'd be happy to chat with you about it.

Do you have any idea how screwed up this world would be if all of the prayers were answered. It would be very screwed up ... Have you ever seen Bruce Almighty ...

Examples :

5 thousand people pray for the lottery and win. They get about 50 dollars each.

A woman prays that she can lose weight on the "twinkie and no exercise diet". Suddenly she loses 10 lbs.

A man prays that his mom would live happily ever after. His father dies.

A medical student prays that there is a computer glitch and all his F's turn to A's. He is your doctor.

Being that we are created in his likeness and image.I know he knows whats best for us.A lot of the situations in this world is so because of this world and their hatred and denial of God and one of the PROMISES in the old testament warns of turning away from GOD and all the things listed is what you have today and yesterday...it's not God it's the world as a whole. He doesn't answer all prayer because he is the I AM....I can I can't it's his will for our lives not our own consider the children of Israel(chosen by GOD) we didn't go through anything more or less then they and they were handpicked by GOD himself...if God did answer every prayer we wouldn't appreciate him or need him.....kind of like spoiled children who grow up and flip out on their parents.......sorry so long!

Sometimes we don't get the answer we want. It is not our will, but His will. There are reasons for everything in this life and many beyond our understanding. A lot of times you will realize the reason later on. And sometimes you don't, but just know that there is a reason your prayer didn't seem to be answered at that time.

Reasons for hindrances of prayer

If the Word of God is not a delight or you’re your heart is filled with more love for yourself then for God, then your prayers will be stopped short of the thrown of God. Nothing should take the place of God in your heart. You have to put God first. Where is your delight? Unconfused sin is a hindrance to prayer. The desires of our own pleasures strangle a multitude of prayers. An accurate prayer request is for wisdom, power, and are anything that benefits the Kingdom of God. Therefore your prayers must be in accordance with God’s Word. †

Because we see only half the picture. Jesus lives in the other half but sees the whole. We pray for things because we think that we know the answers to all the problems. The answers can only be understood if you see the world through Jesus' eyes.

ever hear the song "Unanswered Prayers" by Garth Brooks? that song would tell you a couple reasons,
he does what he think will help you the most in the end.
people pray for some things that if would have come true that instant they would regret later in life
not that i can say much about this kinda thing though cus im not religious at all
thats just my opinion
