Interestingly, I was not sure how to spell Harry's last name, and I did a search using Callas first. I got 43 specific references from places like USA Today, Cinncinnati Post, PaulRichardson.com (!!!), Fox News and others spelling it "Callas." Such as, "Legendary Phillies broadcaster Harry Callas reminded fans that Vukovich began his career 41 years ago in Clearwater. Vukovich, a first-round draft pick of ... "

Yet, when I search for "Harry Kalas," I get over 2,000 hits. I am surprised at the confusion.

before becoming an announcer he was a split personallity who had a penchance for writing his surname different ways

at one time he posed as Maria Kallas a greek opera singer (rated quite highly), when he failed to produce the high notes he was discovered as a fraud. some time later he discovered baseball,

i suspect Harry is short fo Aristotle like most cunning greeks calling themselves harry.

i was going to just answer no and not give evidence, but you can see i did alot of research into this......sunday morning, having fun? sorry dont know the answer
