I HATE when Ward doesn't make the races!!! He is such a talented driver & nice guy. It's not him but the equipment he is working with.
Ward puts his whole heart into racing & I know it really bothers him when he doesn't qualify.
I am a huge supporter of Ward & wish he would start his fan club up again and have meet & greets like he used to. I have many pics of Ward & I together & even made the trip from Washington state to Daytona USA after he won the 500 in 2002.
Hopefully he will have the same ride next year, I know they are trying thier best but it takes time & sponsorship money to get things going...

Ward AND Jeff Burton are probably two of the nicest drivers in NASCAR. I do wish he could have made the race. I also hope that he gets a decent ride next year. He has the talent, he just needs a ride!

I feel bad for Ward, he's a good guy. It's just getting so hard to make the races anymore unless you're a top team. I wish they'd change qualifying somehow, the way it is now the team's that are behind-not in the top 35, just get farther behind every week. Every time they don't make a race it's harder next time to get in.

I do feel bad for him but not as mad as I get with ASSCAR for implying that top 35 rule. It has to be one of the most bizarre rules ever brought into any sport. They all most make it impossible for any new team to run a cup race, and along with all the cup drivers running in the Busch races well it's just getting a bit boring for me. It's like watching reruns of a good show but getting tired.
No way should Boyer have made the race too thanks to this childish back yard rule.

well yeah. ive met ward but am a fan of jeff. i even got ward's autograph back in 2001 just before he won the southern 500 at darlington. it's great to see him trying to restart his career. he seems to have done ok in busch this year, will have to see if he gets a ride in '08; miss him in the cat car;it never has run quite the same!

He's a good O'l boy though so would have been cool had he made it.

I think Ward is better than his team. With the right team, he'd be in all the races.

Yeah, it was kinda sad, its to bad he doesn't have the equipment that his brother does...I just love listening to him talk.. living out here in calif...I miss the great smooth southern accents like his...He was in till the last qualifier I was watching it at work and I went dang.. hopefully next race...
