So my currently friend who has a crush on me and I am not sure yet, has asked me multiple times to go to his basketball game, and he is at a states level. It's tomorrow and that's the first game that I'll be there. I was wondering if you recommend me taking anything? I don't wanna sound super lame or unusual. So I was thinking about showing up without anything, yet my friend said since it's my first time I should take him flowers but I don't understand why! What would you do?

No flowers. Guys don't want flowers. I would advise making a sign to cheer him on specifically. That way, he'll be reassured that you came to the game to wach him and didn't just go b/c he's on a good team or whatever. It'll just make the communication clearer and help jump start the relationship.

its a good pick me up after the game (if won or loss)
and if you just give them to him
wrap up a few in a cute paper and ribbon
it looks nice
and its casual
not a big deal
