or do they promote it? wouldn't they like instability ie; in Middle East so they can sell them weapons directly and indirectly? don't the leaders of these countries represent military corporations?

Of course they don't want peace. When there is not enough conflict they go out and create some. A retired General once told me " war is a business".

A good portion of arms come from the good ol' US of A. Business was slow, pretty much at a stand still before Bush Sr.& Jr. came into the picture. The 9-11 "terrorist" attack was just what the New World Order called for. And this military incorporated country delivered.

Since funeral homes make their money from death, don't they really want more death? Their business depends on it.

Funeral homes aren't vultures just waiting for people to die. They're normal people just like everyone else. But people are going to die, so funeral homes just fulfill a need that is always there.

As long as there are humans, someone is going to want to kill someone else, and they take up sides to do it. Just look at school. You can't even control the fighting instinct of a bunch of juveniles in a structured environment, let alone several million adults from various cultures. As long as there is a market, some countries will make a profit from selling military hardware.

Now figure that YOU are making a fortune by selling beer to drinkers. All of a sudden, nobody is drinking beer anymore. They've switched to bottled water. Are you going to cry because you can't sell beer anymore? Or are you going to now make a fortune by selling bottled water?

If true peace did break out in the world, the countries making a profit on war would then start selling stuff that makes a profit on peace.

The "countries", or at least the citizens in them, DO want peace BUT the government, especially big politicians, and military contracting companies do NOT want peace.

Military contracts create billions of dollars of profits to be had by the corporation that lobbies the big politicians the most. If you want to know more about this, check into the movie "Iraq for Sale".

All I have to say is that apparently Haliburton gets paid some $100 per batch of laundry in Iraq. And get this: it's against the rules for soldiers to do their own laundry.

NO, they dont.. well put it another way.. they want peace in their country, but not anywhere else.. So as they can use the instability to control and twist the other governments into submission.. .. For the future of the earth.. Oil is the key.. The whole middle east is about oil.. .. USA has enough oil in their own country, but why are they continuing to meddle into the middle east?.. Its all about oil.. and control.. 100years from now, USA will own it all, then other countries that used to have, will at that point be "without" and forced to purchase oil back from USA at 200% + price hike and everyone will be at its mercy..

War is expensive...just look at the figures to pay for the limited war going on in Iraq. Additionally, losing the men who die in war means a significant loss of future work and tax income.
For this reason alone, major governments generally hesitate to move right to war to settle problems.
Its the minor ones, motivated by religion or political ideology, or by racism, that undertake warfare lightly.

Of course you're right. It's become obvious over the years that a lot of people have a lot of money invested in war. How come NOBODY ever spends the money and manpower to stop (if nothing else) illegal arms dealers?
Where's the UN on this? How come the US spends BILLIONS on war, but there isn't a peep about them stopping arms dealers? Imagine spending the same amount of time, money, energy and manpower that we've spent in Iraqi on stopping illegal arms trade!

Greetings. why in the world would they want peace? no nation can survive with the low grade politicians we have if there is peace. need war to keep everybody scared human manureless, (the word **** is not allowed you see,) so they can stay in power and increase their profits. Peace? that is for sissys. War, that is where the money is. Especially if you don't have to presonally fight or die in it.

No - war is essential for the profits of the arms industries and there must always be tension to encourage people to buy their products.
Eisenhower, when he was president, warned that the biggest threat to world peace is the military/industrial complex.
