Honey, you weren't really expecting this stuff to be consistent, were you?
I'm not sure where you are getting these expressions, but according to tradition, heaven is above and hell beneath, so Earth would be between heaven and hell. "Between heaven and earth" would have to be something different. Perhaps the angels, as in PASSING between heaven and earth?
Probably best to just accept the whole thing as myth and metaphor, and move on.

If your reference is to 1chron 21:16 David "saw the angel of the Lord stand between the earth and the heaven"....... It seems obvious to me that there is another dimension in operation. Look at Ezek. 8:3 and Zech 5:9 you'll see the same thing. Heaven is where God's throne is. Judgement happens at that throne. God has passed all judgement to His Son Jesus Christ. If you abide in Christ you belong to Him and will remain at His side, If you don't belong to Him, then you end up separate from the giver of life-giving water, without that water it'll probably be pretty hot and a soul will be awfully thirsty. Luke 16:24

there is no such thing called heaven or hell both are neither below or above us, they are INSIDE us our perceptions towards life make up these places -- when people comprehend that the Truth (mind cptl T) is nothing else but the very world they are living only with a divine shade in in it recognise the palce as heaven
And peple who do not and are run by desire to conquer and dominate something in life and achieve their desired object or domination and still find only fleeting joy find this very palce as hell...............nothing can bring True happiness for these men
Death is only a gateway to another life so we do not infact go nowhre after death but come back to very place to restrat our desires or if you are desireless then to enjoy --

God is the supreme being.He is their in heaven above the clouds in the 3rd heaven.
Ther are 3 heavens 1st-sky,,,2nd-where the sun,moon and stars located,the 3rd and last one is the HEAVEN where God abode with his angels..
Devil is the mortal enemy of God on the opposite side the price of the dark and dark and light cannot be together in one place...
So HELL is located under the ground...,,,bottomless pit....
