That's was normal for a dog, as they are growing they will change their coat abit to more white around the face area.
As i have 3dog , 2 is older, that the same thing to my, so don't worry..
when it reach older, their muzzle area will change to white colour, my b4 that muzzle is black, now is in white.
She is now 9years old.
I still love her..as you are...

Kind of, but not really. Chihuahuas can live a long time, up to 15-18 years. But some dogs go gray early, just like people. My sister actually had gray hair at age 14! Don't worry, it doesn't mean he's old.

Some dogs do get white hairs early. Mine is 2 1/2 and has a graying muzzle. It doesn't mean that he is aging faster, just that some dogs get the white hairs early, like people do.

there is an early greying gene - I've seen dogs start to grey at ONE year of age. Means nothing for longevity....
some people start grey hair at 30....
