I've been called a faciest, weak minded, idiot, brainwashed, afraid and stupid tonight on YA for being a Christian. Who is your favorite atheist on here. There used to be someone called Spooky that I really respected that never lowered himself to name calling. Unfortunately, he hasn't been on here in awhile.
Now, before I upset anyone, there is a valid argument for the fact that atheists are bashed on here too. As are Muslims and others, but I'm only speaking to my own experience tonight on line. If you feel left out, tell us who you're favorite Christian or Muslim is on YA.

Don't misunderstand, it takes a lot to offend me. I've just noticed that in all the bashing it's possible to really respect the other side too. And that's the point. I'm definately not crying persecution

Spooky is still around... just under another name. I won't say who, though, because I don't know who Spooky wants to know.

I wouldn't call you "brainwashed"... I'd call you "indoctrinated".

My favorite Christian is... mmm..... Rachael.

Well I am an atheist but I will tell you my favorite Christian on here is Father K.
BTW, I looked at some of your answers and did not see any reason someone would call you those names. You seemed to be very respectful in the questions I read. What questions were you attacked on?

Mel. Do you remember what you said when they insulted you? I've noticed a few of the Christians on here don't seem to know how to be respectful... if I'm not respected, why should I be nice in return?

Do the Atheists get to name a favorite Christian? There are a few here that I like.

I am an atheist. I work alot lately, and am on only sporadically, so I don't keep any personal favorites on name basis. I admit to liking atheists and non-conventional religious folks a tad better than Christians. The type of Christian that I do like? He/she understands that I do not believe in Christ, God, the Bible, and doesn't try to use that as "proof." They can reason intelligently and do not have a weak will for discussion. They are not a holy rolling, shove my religion down your throat, can't stand other faiths type.
If there were more Christians like this, I might actually like more Christians. I still wouldn't be one, but I might like them more.

Tough call on my favorite atheist, but if I must narrow it down to one it would have to be Deke. He can be acerbic, but when given an opening he doesn't have to drive a truck through it to be effective. He understands (and uses) subtlety and irony better than most. I like him. But then I'm married to someone who has a heck of a lot in common with him (well, except for the atheist part.)

I'm thinking the pagans should get a mention here, as well. I like Riegan because she has a fully functioning b.s. meter and calls it when she sees it -- regardless of the source.

I'm an atheist, and I haven't been here long enough to really recognize any names. But sorry you were insulted, don't think all atheists are like that. I'm OK with others' beliefs as long as they're not forced on me. Some of the religious here can be abusive too. To tell the truth, I think the people on here that I like best are the agnostics.

Although I do appreciate the insight of so many of the people on here, as to the atheists, I'd have to say Red Queen is my favorite.

Why? Because she can be highly respectful to those who don't agree with her, and she can hold her own. I've seen her be very compassionate, but yet incredibly insightful.

P.S. If you are new to R&S, welcome! Most Christians get called those names on here from time to time, so welcome to our group!!! (But don't let them think you are complaining about all of that name calling, or else they will say you are whining about being persecuted). Just respond as Christ wants us to respond. Don't repay evil with evil, but instead repay evil with good when evil is done to you. In that way you can show the love of Christ.

You adult men do no longer annoy me, i'm no longer able to tell the adaptation between genuine posts and trolls, so I merely handle all of them as trolls. in lots of situations responding in a counter-troll vogue till it replaced right into a stable troll.
