I just dont understand why alot(not all) black people assume prejudice so often. I can tease friends of any nationality playfully as a joke and not worry them taking it too seriously except blacks. It just seems you have to always be on your toes with alot(not all) of black people because they assume you're prejudice.

i think many are, like jesse jackson and al sharpton. like w/ the whole n-word thing a black person can say it but let anyone else say then they will call you racists and a bad person. it doesn't make sense. like black comedians make all kinds of jokes about every group of people, but let anyone say anyhting true or not true about black people and they get all upset, like w/ the don imus thing. it is just a stupid double standard, that i think should stop, becuase black people will never be treated or achieve the level of equal if they continue to make themselves the victims of society. but that isn't all black people jsut some/ many. and i am not racists, i have black people in my family. but that is just my opinion

How do you know I'm too sensitive? Stop generalizing.... Anyway race jokes after a while are annoying and most black people like to be looked at as individual not just as a black person.

bec theyre insecure with themselves. If theyre women they hate being black and wish they were white to get with white men, for black men they hate being singled out from the crowd for being black. So you can see how sensitive and paranoid this would make them. not sure but probably why.

Nope that's not true. I'm asian and if someone came up to me and made some dumbass joke about my race i'd be quick to put em in their place too. Jokes are meant to be funny, not hurtful.

champagne ...got it right,if you feel that you might get a beatdown from what you say, stick to your own kind, where they might accept your language and racial jokes.
The history between blacks and whites in america is too deep, there are many unhealed wounds and scars that are bound to come up if you start making racial jokes, comments where black ppl are around.
If you don't have something positive to say, just don't say anything.

Then just don't do it. Stick to your own. There's been too much damage by you people and it's still going down even today.

So if you know that you don't want to walk on eggshells, don't worry about it and stick to your other types of people. Black people are happy doing that also because they don't want to be bothered either with racist jokes and crap.

Common sense..
