I heard they got rid of all the billets in Europe for them, is this true? And I mean country not ships.

Depends on the type of ship, submarine or carrier.

As it stands now, all nuclear-powered ships are homeported stateside. There are planned to shift a carrier to Yokosuka when USS Kitty Hawk is decommissioned, but the Japanese don't like nuclear ships in their country.

BTW. Nuclear engineers are "nucs", nuclear weapons are "nukes".

Nukes can be stationed on SUBS or CVN's (Nuke Carriers) They can be also serve in a repair environment such as a submarine tender (repair ship). (Only 2 left in the navy. One is in Guam and one in Italy) Or they can be at a shore base repair facility or serve as an instructor at a school. No billets in Europe for a Nuke unless you can score some kind of general billet and work out of your rating.

For billets in Europe, the Emory S. Land is in Italy, it's a submarine tender. You'll be a RADCON Tech. Other than that there isn't much else there for nukes in Europe.

They shut down Holy Loch Scotland a few years ago. La Madellena on Sicily will close within a year. Naples still is the headquarters of Sixth Fleet. But, those ships are home ported in the States. There are plans to send USS George Washington to a forward-basing home port at Yokosuka as the replacement carrier for USS Kitty Hawk when they retire that oil burner.
Some subs are homeported in Guam. That's about as "exotic" as it gets.
