of course they ( education , health care ) save more than what some call their "cost" . what really is expensive is to deny the chance to receive education to anyone . if educating is expensive now think how much it would cost us if we made sure everyone remained an ignorant . the best way to bring an entire country out of poverty is to make sure everyone is being educated . a good example of this could be japan which after WWII completely destroyed decided to make sure everyone would get an education and was successful in becoming a great country once more because of that . education is the key to success and in my opinion Americans should not be fighting to get not well paid job which is exactly what some are doing right now . plus i would like to let know some of the people answering this question that we are still the richest country in the world so how can we deny anyone education , it would not speak well of us .

Few want any harm to come to anybodies children, but where do you draw the line when paying for those cost at the expense of the health, education, or safety of your own children. I must say again that the citizens of the USA have the right to set and enforce the immigration policy of this country for our wants and needs and not the illegals no matter how hard working, or well intended

No, they cost far, far more. And when we're done treating and educating all of these illegals that need to go back to their own country, under their own government...who will treat and educate our children to the standards they once were before illegals and their needs starting shutting our hospitals down and overcrowding our schools...shall we ask say...China? No, lets demand. Yes, that's it, we'll demand that another country give medical care and an education to U.S. citizens because that seems to be logical to you.

No in the least. Consider the Cost of giving birth tie that to the use of emergency rooms as routine treatment center, next add the cost of education, couple that with the cost of housing the impact on the public transportation system and roads and finally the cost to the person who loses a job to them.

The US will never recoup anywhere near the amount of money expended upon them that their presence here supplies.

If they're going to be here anyways, they should be educated. On top of that, schools are paid for mostly out of property taxes and/or sales taxes, depending on the state. Illegals pay sales taxes, and their landlords pay properties taxes from their rent. They're not getting a free ride on those services.

The real solution though is to allow as many legal immigrants as the economy will support. We're not doing that right now, which is why we can have a huge number of illegal immigrants at the same time we have low unemployment.

Think about this...

For every illegal alien's child, that get these things, takes away from every US Citizen's child. The illegal does not make enough money to cover the cost of being here. Is it about money. Absolutely! And there just isn't enough of it to go around. Services are spead so thin, it lower's the standard for everyone and that just shouldn't be.

I agree with Dar. If we are too nice, we would encourage more to come. I do believe that we need to give them certain things though. We need to give them an education, but we need to be serious about schooling them, rather than making the school a holding bin for the youth. I see our school system diluting their education, because we are afraid of labeling certain kids stupid. My reasoning is that we have enough stupid people roaming the streets and we need to diminish their numbers.

As for health, we need to provide a certain amount of health care to illegals. As a society it's amoral to not provide emergency care. More important it makes us look bad to other nations. THe other healthcare we must provide, is to prevent contagious disease from spreading. We all hear the stories of how illegal immigrants are bringing TB and other diseases. We need to give them a standard amount of health care to prevent them from giving it to us.

PS. I know I sound a bit mean today. For all my liberal friends, you have to talk in a way that us conservatives will listen. If you sound too compassionate, like "Save the Children", some of us what just shut down.

When every child of US citizens are healthy and educated and safe....then I'll give this the consideration it deserves.

Until then, we need to take care of our own first.

Ahh, no wonder you love abortion and want to be an Abortionist Doctor some day. You have children too. It's all coming into clarity now.

You hate kids, and you hate babies, and fetuses.
