When people refer to the US being a "Christian nation" they are NOT referring to the majority of the population being Chriatians ... but that our nation was founded on Christian tenets. That is why adultery is illegal. Murder is also illegal but people still do it. Does that make us any less of a Christian nation, too? As a nation, our laws and mores are based upon the Judeo-Christian tenets... is that wrong? Should we not strive to live up to those standards JUST because some people cannot?

Have a blessed day.

This was once an Indian nation but it's pretty mixed up now. Even in the churches, you have maybe half that are truly Christian.
Just because it is a Christian nation, doesn't mean every last soul is a Christian. Our society and laws are based on Christian doctrine. That's all.

America is not a Christian nation. It's time for people to wake up and shake off the spells that have been cast over them to get them to comply to the demands of those who want to set up a one world government.

That is what you are seeing. It's not that man is evolving into a higher consciousness. The explosion of this type of sin orginates with the rich and powerful few who are trying to gain complete control over a population that has been ensnared in sin and sin's effects which have blinded it to what is happening.

It's a free country, that's what they say.

Are you sure abt your 50% of christians that doing it. Maybe they are only christian on paper or not true believers.
If they really believe I dont think they would do it.

The trouble is, they believe that Jesus is their savior, so they are safe doing anything once they hold on Jesus.
I hope GOD THE MOST FORGIVING will lead them to the right path.

We are not a Christian nation. We were founded on Christian principles.By mostly Christian men.But freedom of religion (any) and freedom from religion (if one wishes) has mostly always been the rule.
Adultery is wrong and if not repented of will bring judgment on the offender.
50% ,I don't think even close except in the Soaps.

Of course you are...God made man with free will ..and with free will comes sin. Most Christians break one or more of the ten commandments frequently. What sets us apart is that if we are truly trying to live a Christian life, we try to learn from our mistakes, we ask for forgiveness and ask God to guide us in a way that keeps us from breaking them anymore.

Most people only put that down on the census because they go to church twice a year on Easter and Christmas. They only like the presents and egg hunts. Most of the population of the US is probably agnostic since they don't "know" what religion they are and just go with the majority.

Being a Christian is supposed to mean that Jesus is your Lord. Jesus will say to many "Why do you call me 'Lord' and not do as I say?" And "I never knew you."

Verses that many so called Christians do not obey:

... train up a child in the way he should go....
... do not be unequally yoked....
..... husbands, love your wives....
.... wives, respect your husbands....
..... honor your parents.....
... do not covet...
.... do not commit adultery....
... keep the sabbath day holy...

The list can go on.... there is a big difference between being a "Christian" and being an "obedient Christian".

We are human thats why. We make mistakes, some more than others. Some people think that sex is gona help them, but it is only temporary.

The 50% you are refering to may not be Christians. I guess that makes the divorce rate around 75% then. And divorce is against God's law too, unless one has cheated.

Well, I have never committed adultery. Then again, I'm atheist. Also, don't forget all the murders committed in this "Christian" nation. I believe that also breaks one of the commandments.
