I'm not sure how anyone can believe in a 6000 year old world.

Not all Christians that believe in Creationism believe in a 6000 year old earth. I'm a creationist Christian who has no problem with millions and millions of years.

Sorry, but you have the wrong approach to your study of the Bible. The Bile is not a science book, neither is it a history book. It is a book about God's saving acts to redeem man.

The story of creation is based on Jewish mythology and folklore. The important thing is the divine message. Look for it.

not likely real scientist know better but for the right amount of cash they might say otherwise. a creationist that believes in a sixthousand year old earth is called a blind scientist.

Augustine, around the year 400 AD, believed that God created a "mature" earth in the same way that Adam and Eve were created mature.
