That is just another of those old wive tales about prople that have fun and enjoy things that they don't. Yes, I suppose if you drank a case fo it a day it COULD do some damage but not irreversible damage. All soda is just carbon dioxide, water and sugar, with some caffeine and food coloring and flavoring added. Not much there to do any damage. the Carbon Dioxide doestn't even get into the blood stra=eam, and if it DID, it'd get removed in the lungs. not the kidneys.

It is the other brown bubbly stuff that will cause kidney failure which can lead to Diabetes.
My Doc prefers me to drink pop than beer and Diet versions at that.

No, it can give you kidney stones. But you can always treat damage to the kidneys if you catch it soon enough. You won't wake up one morning and go into knidney failure. There are signs and symptoms and ways that your kidneys go down hill.

No...unless you drink 20 cans a day... Drink a glass of water once in a while and don't worry....Soda will rot your teeth before it effects the kidneys

Technically any fluid can cause kidney failure given a large enough amount.

Sodas, means drinking and the more you drink(not alcohol) the better it is for the kidneys.
