He created a woman so he wouldn't be alone. He told them to go forth and multiply. He created animals, and the light and the dark, he created the seas and the sky. God had a lot of great ideas!

God created man...mankind. "Male and female created He them." Woman was not a better idea, but the completion of mankind being made in His image. The father-heart of God and the mother-heart of God - there is way more, but I'd be typing and you would be reading forever.
But, I have to admit - as a man, I am sure glad he made woman. I think Adam was pleased with the female portion of human creation. Come to think of it, I think when he first saw her, he said, "Wo, man!"

He decided that it was a mistake and he had to fix it so he reached down to kill him by tearing him apart rib by rib but being a creator and not a destroyer the first rib turned into a woman then he stopped when he realized that she would do the job for him. Been trying ever since.
Just kidding I love women I just feel like this question is so manipulitive and sexist.

To be light about it, God created woman. But in all sense, to say "better" implies that God did not do his best the first time. I'd say God created both man and woman together and then said " Let's get naked" LOL....
