Whatever you do, don't bleach it!
Rinse your hair with a very light shampoo and then apply a golden blond hair dye, use the peroxide that is in it as the directions say, but add 1-2 caps of shampoo to it as well, and instead of doing the roots of the hair, wash it into all of your hair as if it was only a shampoo, leave it on for the required amount of time on the box, and then rinse and wash thoroughly. You will see the difference in color under the lights. This way, you roots will not be blond or lighter, but all of your hair will be given a lighter sheen.

Getting dark brown hair to light brown hair is a simple, yet slightly evasive process. IM SORRY, BUT The most effective way involves making an appointment a salon and asking your stylist to prepare a base color from which to work from. This means bleaching your hair(lifting out the color) and than coloring over the now light colored hair with a light brown shade. The color will show up more because of the light base color. THERE IS NOTHING YOU SHOULD DO BY YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU COULD REALLY RISK MESSING UP YOU HAIR!!!!!

It it all about how you dye it. Don't dye it just bleach it. the product is called Clairol it comes in different formulas called 10, 20, 30, 40. The higher the number the quicker it will turn. You take that and mix it with another product called stage 2. It is a powder substance and usually costs a dollar. Mix it together well and apply evenly over desired area. Let it sit in your head until you see the desired color.

You need to have a professional colorist help you. From such a dark, natural color, going lighter requires a lot of product knowledge and experience. You should get something that really pleases you, and do-it-yourself retail brands can't give you the results you want and deserve.

I think it would be really pretty on you to do some very thin streaks or strands of a lighter brown...can't tell much from pic, if you have any red at all maybe a reddish brown color would be a nice accent ?

i've got used Loreal Feria before and it labored fantastic. the only concern I had replaced into that the colour did not stay to tell the story as long via fact those from the expert salons do. After some weeks my colour might fade and that i might ought to purchase yet another bottle.
