Has anyone taken the medication Atarax? How does it make you feel?

I've taken it plenty of times for hives. It's the only thing that can truly stop the itchiness of hives for me. The only side effect is that it may make you a little drowsy.

Atarax produces drowsiness, nausea,& impaired alertness.

I don't know if they use it any more but some times it was given for pre-op. It help you relax and sleepy also it is given for allergies and severe allergic reactions.
