Go directly to the desk at the gate and tell the airline person that you are flying alone and could they please tell you when to board.

Typically, when you're under the age of 15 and are traveling alone, you are considered an Unaccompanied Minor, or UM for short. You'll hear that term a lot once you travel. You're in luck though because Southwest really cares about kids and you'll have a great time with your flight. Besides, Canada isn't too far. They lead you through the entire process with forms and directions and skip waiting in lines. Once you reach your destination, they drop you off with whoever is picking you up.
Don't worry about it, you'll have fun. This is also a good option if it's your first time flying too. You don't have to worry anything, all you have to do is enjoy your flight. After the age of 15, it becomes optional and you can choose not to be in the UM program.
Hope this helps, and have a good trip!
P.S. Southwest DOES "fly" to Canada. It's partnering with ATA but you can buy the tickets through SW. http://www.dancewithshadows.com/flights/southwest-foreign.asp

The first problem I see is that Southwest Airlines doesn't go to Canada.
The second is that SW is about to change their boarding method, adding numbers to their famous Letter boarding passes and eliminating early boarding of mothers and kids.
Basically, you want to decide what kind of seat you want (aisle, window or middle) and whether you want to look out a window and see ground or see a wing, then look at the plan of the craft on that route to see what row divides the wing seats from the view seats. If you were getting a reserved seat, you would look on the reservation chart. On SW, you either grab the first seat you can (usually over wing) or head down the aisle till you are into the view rows and grab a seat.
It helps to look pathetic at the right time. Go to the desk at the gate to ask questions, get your boarding pass and practice looking pathetic.

I can help you out I am 13 and 3 months ago I went on a trip alone!
On your boarding pass it says A,B or C. They won't let you go on preboard (trust me I tried). So if it says A go in the line next to preboard( it will have a sign that says A). If it says B go in line where it has a sign that says B, and so on.
Good luck and I hope I help!
BTW: Southwest doesn't go to Canada. Do you mean NORTHWest?

You have to go online, the specified amount of time before your flight, like a day or something beforehand, and check in. The earlier you do this to the opening time online, the better chance you have of getting in line a. The let line a in first, then line b, then line c, so you'll want to try and to this right away. Then whoever gets to the airport first, gets on the line first. Hope that helps :)

Just line up with everyone else. You will be fine. If you are scared, you can go grab one of the women working the booth and tell them you are scared and don't know what to do... they will probably hold your hand and walk you onto the plane in front of everyone else. Isn't it great being a kid??
