Hi. I know in Japanese, "yarou" means "rascal" and "bastard", and I was told it has other definitions. What other meanings does "yarou" have in Japanese? Please let me know. Thank you. :D

It's just a crude way of referring to another person. Along the lines of "guy" or "jerk." It's not the worst insult in the world, but it's definitely not flattering to be called "yarou". Further, it can be combined with other words to make it more pejorative:

Baka (stupid) + yarou (guy/jerk) = stupid jerk
Nanpa (womanizer/player, pejorative) + yarou = skeeze
Ano (that) + yarou (guy/jerk/bastard) = that bastard
Kuso (crap/sh*t) + yarou (bastard) = sh*tty bastard/piece of sh*t person
etc etc

Yarou sometimes means "man/guy". Original meaning of Yarou is "young man", so it does not always has offensive senses. It's same to "bastard" in English, when it's used as "lucky bastard!" does not always has a sense of offense.

In Kansai area, it is used the same as "darou" in Kanto area, which is kind of like "it seems" or "I guess."
