You have a hemorrhoid unfortunetly. To relieve the pain you're going to need to STOP PUSHING so hard when you use the bathroom. Push with your bottom, not your head. If you feel you are straining yourself you're going to need to stop pushing. If you continue to eat whatever diet you are on, which obviously isn't containing enough fiber, you're going to end up with more and that one will only continue to grow. Not to scare you, but it's the truth, and you need warning. Buy some preparation H from the pharmacy, it's about $8.00. Use it as directed on the box, buy the one that shrinks them. You really NEED to start eating vegetables/fruits/and whole wheat pasta, not regular bleached [white] macaroni/pasta. It's bad for you anyway. Please listen to this, it's the best advice I can give. Remember FIBER! And don't use metamucil, you are too young to begin using that, unless you have a serious medical condition. Stick to real food that will unconstipate you. Which you obviously are. And make sure that you drink A LOT of water with all the fiber you are taking in, otherwise it will have the reverse effect, and no one wants that. Okay and I'm not too sure if that guy talking about the peanut butter and beer was being sarcastic. But don't do that! The anus is a breeding ground for bacteria, sticking food up there will not help at all.

This sounds like a hemorroid and that means that a vein has protruded through the internal sphincter of the anus. This results from pushing to hard when moving the bowels and causes pain , bleeding and the little bump you described. It is usually treated symptomatically with sitz baths, cold compresses and stool softeners. It may resolve on its own or reoccur. If it becomes large, bleeds frequently or causes a lot of pain it is treated surgically. Eat more fruit and vegetables and don't push so hard. But i guess you know that now.

You have an external hemorrhoid! If you have to push really hard to have a bowel movement, this causes the blood vessels in your rectum to fill with blood causing hemorrhoids. Sometimes they hang down from the rectum and cause pain and bleeding.

You need lots more fiber in your diet, try NOT to force yourself to poop, just go when you have to go. Use something like Tucks when you are finished and wipe gently. This will help ease the pain. You can also get some Preparation H hemorrhoid creme to help the swelling and the itch.

Your best bet to keep hemorrhoids away is more fiber and lots of water through the day. It helps to keep the stool soft and helps you to go easier. You can try fiber tablets or something like Metamucil at night. Anything to ease the "going" part.

Your doctor is not going to be embarrassed, and he/she saw some very gross things before finishing med school. It is his/her job to help you fix problems with the body, and that includes the anus.

In other words, SEE YOUR DOCTOR, who can give you some treatment to relieve the pain and help you heal. Most medical conditions are easier to treat if you get to the doctor early.

Sounds a lot like an external hemorrhoid. You can try something like Perperation H (pick it up at pretty much any store) to treat it. If it doesn't clear up or is too painful, a doctor can treat it.
