Some of the answers here are hysterical.

Death Touch is Kyusho Jutsu.

In the late 1300's there was a cultural interchange between China and Okinawa, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Martial Arts were passed on to the Okinawans by the 36 Families, known as the Sapposhi, as part of the interchanged.

The Chinese call this Art "Poison Hand".

Americans classify poison hand as a mystical magical enigmatic phenomenon to sell books.

For those who don't believe it's real, contact the Dragon Society or go see Taika Seiyu Oyata. They will be happy to show you its effects on the unbelievers.

If you do not go through proper channels to learn this, STAY AWAY! You will put people's lives in danger as well as your own. Seriously!

Align sight picture. Squeeze trigger. Done deal. There are numerous vital areas on the body to target. Most combat pistol texts describe where to "touch"

Enough of the snarkiness...

The Chi concept is valid but there is also death due to hydrostatic shock to the cerebral spinal fluid. It's very interesting that the CSF corresponds to many of the chi and acupuncture meridians.

Trauma to nerves is another fascinating technique causing lots of pain or localized paralysis. I've got a massage therapist that uses the same points to work on my back that's had some judo mileage.

If you pay someone who says that they have a book that teaches a "secret" martial art about the "touch of death" what they're after is your money. But it might be a good read.

It would be great if someone posted a review of the book.

Personally I cant imagine simply touching someone would induce death or serious injury!!

However I'm a firm believer in pressure point usage re: striking, pinching poking as a method of releasing someone from you.
But striking with force certain pressure points can seriously maim or kill.
And do believe in meridian lines acupuncture, reiki.
Have you ever had a Sharp pain at one end of your body and it seems to travel to a other part and be painful there for a split second.
Food for thought I think!!!

Death touches...errr I'd say definitely ..No
striking pressure points definitely.......Yes
Hope this helps.

Best wishes :)

It has long been known that stimulation of the cranial nerve beneath the ear (vagus nerve) can cause reduced blood pressure. This is why it was called the Alderman's nerve as it could stimulate additional craving for food at lengthy banquets. Excess pressure could actually cause fainting. The carotid artery is near the surface at this point and a sudden trauma has been known to release arterial plaque, resulting possibly days later in a pulmonary embolism (lung clot) or even a myocardial infarction (cutting off of blood flow to heart muscles). Whether this could be achieved by a mere touch is speculation.
Would suggest you do not experiment!

Don't even think about learning Dim Mak. When you have a gun, you will always threaten to kill others with it; but when you don't have one, you will be a humble man.

you would learn it in a film with little plot, lots of training montages and pointless fight scenes with really bad special effects and dodgy wire work.

Honestly, do people still really believe in this stuff? Martial arts can teach you to do some pretty impressive stuff but kill someone just by touching them.... Don't think so.

I would imagine 'very carefully' cause imagine you were sat at traffic lights and just had a quasi casual pick of you nose 'poom!' unconsciousness! even death! ouch! what a bad day that would turn out to be. Just kidding, love this mysticism in martial arts, the links above did not work by the way

The catch is that you would never know if it worked unless you killed 2 healthy people in a row with it whereas you could have the same effect with a hard stomping except that you wouldn't have to perfect your stomping technique for 30 years beforehand.

Erle Montaigue has written several books on the subject, however his expertise on the matter is highly questionable. In the end, learning a fighting style is the first step in fighting before attacking specific acupuncture points during battle - if such a method of death-dealing truly exists.
