Very easy: Fondue.
Hot cheese as an appetiser, you dip in veggies, or bread. Slow munching gives time to get to know one another.
Main course
Hot peanut oil (ouch, be careful) for the main course and you sit and cook each bite, Meats, some other veggies ....giving you time to talk, and connect.
Dessert
Chocolate fondue. Dipping of strawberries, and sponge cake a piece at a time. Feed it to eachother...oh, careful of hot dripping chocolate....

Well, I have a preference for shrimp and rice....this is easy and it is soooooo yummy.
Buy the peeled and de-veined shrimp (medium size is best) place in a pan with butter, garlic, and your favorite hot sauce. when the shrimp turn white their done (do not over cook or they get tuff) this takes only a couple of minutes. Spoon the shrimp over a plate of rice, then dice a few green onions to sprinkle on the top. The plate will not only look gud but will taste like you spent much love and care to prepare it.
I know this might sound odd....but actually the hot favor will promote the generation of endorphins in your body...a very good feeling indeed. Plus the fact that seafood seems somehow romantic in it's self, maybe because of the cost and the fact that it is not something we eat most days. Truly special for that special someone. Gud luck!

Have you tried the Pasta-Roni mixes? They are very good and you can add to them if you wish. You will find them in boxes at the supermarkets.
Another thing you might want to try are some of the frozen foods such as Stouffer's spaghetti.
Or Bertolli in the large frozen bags near the frozen vegetables. Here is what they look like:

This way, you won't have to do so much cooking from scratch.
You can buy wonderful frozen desserts and let them thaw in the bottom part of your fridge.

vodka pasta by Rachel Ray and dessert ice cream with chocolate dipped strawberries.
recipe for pasta.
1/2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, once around the pan in a slow stream
1/2 tablespoon butter
1 cloves garlic, minced
1 shallot, minced
1/2 cup vodka
1/2 cup chicken stock
1/2 can crushed tomatoes (32 ounces)
Coarse salt and pepper
8 ounces pasta, such as penne rigate
1/4 cup heavy cream
10 leaves fresh basil, shredded or torn
Crusty bread, for passing
Heat a large skillet over moderate heat. Add oil, butter, garlic, and shallots. Gently saute shallots for 3 to 5 minutes to develop their sweetness. Add vodka to the pan, 3 turns around the pan in a steady stream will equal about 1 cup. Reduce vodka by half, this will take 2 or 3 minutes. Add chicken stock, tomatoes. Bring sauce to a bubble and reduce heat to simmer. Season with salt and pepper.
While sauce simmers, cook pasta in salted boiling water until cooked to al dente (with a bite to it). While pasta cooks, prepare your salad or other side dishes.
Stir cream into sauce. When sauce returns to a bubble, remove it from heat. Drain pasta. Toss hot pasta with sauce and basil leaves. Pass pasta with crusty bread.

NOTHING IS AS EASY AND AS ROMATIC AS BUBBLY AND STRAWBERRIES, but if you have a little time try making a complete bathtub full of jello cubes, its really fun and the clean up is even better :)
