Another crack in the wall made possible by the Liberal Dumbocrats just like every other thing if they cant get it all at once they will just do it a little at a time and the next thing you know you have lost another right or freedom they have added a little more freedom to Illegals and just because they can now get a license in NY doesn't mean they will get any insurance I think that when they go in for a license they should be arrested and be deported

THere were a few states where proof of residency wasn't needed up until this April. Wisconsin is one of them. The applicants needed to prove that they lived in Wisconsin (had a bank account), and, who they were - matricula consular was accepted. Then, they could get licenses. It has only been 5 months since they stopped doing that here. I guess I am not so surprised by this.

The Dem's are only concerned that amnesty be passed again, just like the amnesty of 1986, a one time pass, that's what they call immigration reform. It's dejuview all over again

What a can of worms! Citizenship should be proved across the board in ALL states. Our National Security is at stake here. What kind of proof will they be asking for? What's right with this picture?

Of course, Democrats are very serious about immigration reform. But their idea of immigration reform doesn't even come close to your and my ideas of immigration reform!
It is their plan to create lots and lots of Democrat voters, so they can socialize the entire country! Think "Mexicans without borders!

well i think this is just great and i think is ridiculous to say that it would give the city keys to terrorists , whoever who said it may have had good intentions but the terrorists were not undocumented . in my opinion people need to release that whether they think the undocumented should be here or not they would not like if they were hit in a crash and that the person who hit them was an undocumented who was not able to get a license therefor an insurance because he was not allowed to have a driver license . i also would be on favor of creating a driver license which could be used in the USA Mex and in Canada , although i think that Americans are allowed to drive already with out any problems in Mexico with an American driver license .

note : giving them a driver license will make them accountable for their actions therefor yes this could reduce their crashing rates :)

OMG, it just proves that politicians are STUPID!

"He said the current restrictions on non-citizens have filled the roads with unlicensed drivers five times more likely to get into accidents."

Like giving them a license will magically make them better drivers or that if they failed the tests they would stop driving because its illegal to drive without one, pfft, its illegal for them to be here what difference is not having a license going to make?

No one is serious.

Spitzer said that the "INS" is failing to enforce its laws. Obviously Spitzer has no idea what he's talking about! The name "INS" was changed to "ICE" 4 years ago. If he can't get the name right, how can he get the law right?
