I just gave "Cut -n-paste Alice" there a thumbs up because despite the fact that whatever it is she just cut and pasted was most likely boring and monotonous it seems kinda crappy that she has 5 thumbs down in a question regarding belief in the human spirit.
She also gets a hug (((Alice)))
We are the human spirit. Its not something that dies and carries on...yet lives here and now. People don't see that and it's kinda sad.

No, I wish I could.
I know of really good people, but I know of more blase and even evil people so given the choice - I believe good will finally become more common and sought out as being bad just hurts so many people.
I stopped watching the news on TV, and feel much better. I know the struggle will be longer than I'm alive, but I love the underdog.
Enjoy the bright spots as they shed their light - teaching others to believe. Discourage blase-ness in those that you can.

The human spirit is what differentiates us from one another. One of my favorite inspirational stories was about a man trapped in a Nazi concentration camp. I don't remember all of the details, but he tried to life each day in a very positive way. He would do what he could to make the miserable existence there better for everyone. One person asked him why? He stated that he had no choice on where he was living, but he had a choice on how he conducted himself.
That story inspires me, becaues it reminds me that no matter what horrible situations come my way, I have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the people around me.

You'll believe or I'll put some ExLax in your Bran Muffins and watch you take off like the space shuttle, next time you sit on the throne. LOL How's THAT for a reason, Missy?

You have it backwards my dear; one doesn't need a reason to believe in the human spirit, the human spirit is a reason to believe.

Believe in it because it is what connects us all on the inside when we seem so disconnected from one another on the outside.

Because...even though you and I have never met, and you and I don't see eye to eye, I will still appreciate and even love you.
And you know I'm an atheist with no hidden agenda.
I will also wave.

There's lots of reasons, but you have to find em yourself for them to have meaning. I can, however, point a direction. This guy is one of my role models.
