You need to tell your mom, and you need to tell her why you want your eyes checked. It is her duty as your parent to see to it that you have what you need, and good vision is a needful thing. But, she can't do anything at all for you if you don't tell her. If it is easier for you to write it down and hand it to her, do it that way...but for heaven's sake just tell her one way or another.

Tell them that you are not seeing the board or the teacher clearly. Are you getting headaches from straining your eyes? If so, you need to tell them. Tell them that this could adversely affect your grades and how well you do in class. If this doesn't work, go to the school nurse, explain to her your problem, and she will most likely write a note home to your mother that you need to be checked out by an optometrist.

If your eye site isn't as good as it used to you should talk to your mom/sister. If you don't fix it now, they might just get worse and worse...and then you'll start getting headaches. I know it's hard to ask your mom things...i used to be the same way. So what i did was stayed up one night and put everything i ever wanted to ask her and how i felt about certain things on a piece of paper and laid it in her chair. The next day after she read it she understood everything and i've learned to just ask her for her advice. It helps if you just take baby steps and write to your mom first I think. Then you'll learn to talk. Good luck!

Yeah! Your eyes are important, and waiting to get an exam can be bad. I went to Walmart's vision center, and it wasn't too expensive or anything. I'm sure that your family only wants the best for you, and it's not embarrassing to admit that your eyes may need a little help.

how old are you ? assuming you are no more than a high schooler, I would say that every year you are required to have a physical and part of that physical is an eye exam. you can tell your doctor to tell your mom about your eyes...you need your eyes to see honey. you don't want to go stumbling into anything or hurt yourself or someone else because of your eye sight and you will not do as good in school becaus eyou can't see...just tell your mom you need to have your eyes checked...the exam is no more than $20.00.

If your eyes have changed dramatically over just a few years then you may have some severe problem such as glaucoma, and so you should probably check that out before you go blind and become a homeless person with a tin cup.
