I took painkillers a half an hour ago but it won't stop hurting. Suggestions?

hmmm, left arm or right?
left arm pain, not relieved with pain medication could indicate a cardiac problem. You might want to get it checked out quick if it is left arm pain.
Right arm pain, usually do to repetetive motion activities. Give it time the pain meds will work eventually.

Sounds like tendinitis. It can cause extreme pain that comes and goes for no apparent reason.

Getting hit, heavy lifting. Maybe you tore or strained a muscle.
Just rest and eat. It will heal.

it could be RSI....if you do the same arm movement at work everyday they ache very painfully
