I love him. I thinks his family is awesome. Please remember in your answers that Mormons ARE Christians. I should know, I am one.

Thanks for your unwanted meanness. Especially when I asked for not of it in my question. I AM a Christian. I believe in Jesus Christ. You know, God's son? The one who died for us on the cross? Get your facts straight!

I started listening to him and following him because of our same faith. But the more I read and learn...I really do like him.

I listen to him, he has some good ideas. I am far more worried when I see people running for President that have no religious convictions.

I'm a Mormon , although a jack Mormon. and while a Mormon would be OK , there is one fact of his governorship that bothers me and it was about his pardons as mass Governor he wouldn't pardon a army Lt who was trying to get it so he could be a police officer in the state. he should of gave it to the guy , he was proud of not giving any as Governor it was a case in my opinion that should of received one. i wont go into it its too easy to do a search on.
now the reason i wont vote for him other than being a Ron Paul supporter is either he didn't read the appeal or his aids didn't. its a governors job to do that. i want some one doing there job not being tuff on crime just to be tuff on crime. it shows me he doesn't consider all parts equally important as a leader , and that bothers me
some of these guys have it backwards the founding fathers wanted government out of religion. not the other way around

Who do you think you are kidding? If it's Romeny vs Hillary the Republicans will either vote for Romeny or not vote. They won't vote for Hillary, that's for sure.
The big fear for the Republicans is the not vote because the politicians are no longer true conservatives and because they are sick of what Bush has brought the party and the country. And that is how Hillary will win

I don't think that Religion and Government mix what so ever. His religious preference should not matter. He should not make any decisions based on religion.
The founding fathers agreed. IE Separation of Church and State clause in the Constitution.
I say we put an Atheist in office. The original constitution does not say a dang thing about god. It refers to the creator. Leaving it open to your personal belief concerning the creator.
Keep religion out of government.

He seems to be a nice guy, but religion doesn't have much to do with politics. People will vote for whom ever they think is the best candidate. Are you voting for him, because you & he are of the same faith or have you actually done research on "all" candidates before deciding who you would vote for???

The reason I'm not voting for Romney has nothing to do with religion, it has everything to do with Romney. He SUCKS!
He has no opinion that's his own. He'll never take an unpopular stand on anything. Every move he makes and every word out of his mouth is calculated to get the most votes with no thought behind it.
I live in Massachusetts and Romney was a no good blowhard as governor. The only ones that got his ear were rich businessmen looking for favors. He didn't give a damn about the little guy nor could he even relate to him.

not because he's LDS, but because he was a bad governor for Massachusetts. After mismanaging the Salt Lake City Olympics (while he was supposed to be in Massachusetts) he told the press "it's easier to ask for forgiveness then ask for permission." i.e. I can do whatever I want and then apologize
many evangelical Christians have been taught that LDS is counter to their beliefs and it depends heavily on what you look at in the Book of Mormon. I haven't read it so I won't claim to know, but Mormons are generally good people and don't have beliefs that I think would conflict with the presidency.

I really don't care what religion Romney practices - I think it's a private matter. What I do care is his stance on the issues, and since I don't agree with what he's been saying recently, I won't vote for him on that basis, and on that basis alone.

I am Mormon, but not Republican so because of that view I am not going to vote for him. I am also going back and forth on whether I'd want anyone who is LDS to be president because I feel the church would be scrutinized, and things that were was sacred (i.e. temple) would be on display for everyone to attack even more than they do now.
I would of course stand up for the church, I just think it would be unneccessary.
I like seperation of church and state. I think he would seperate them, I just don't think America could.

I'll *listen* to him (and I have), but I have to admit that his religion does make me kind of wary. I know that Mormons are Christians but that doesn't exactly make me want to pull for him. Having a super-religious president has been proven not to be the best thing for our country. I think it alienates too many people because the fact remains that the majority of Americans are not Mormon. I don't want a president that has some kind of Mormon, or any other religious, agenda.
I don't think you should vote for or against anyone based solely on their religion, however, when someone is so secular, it becomes important. I would never vote for someone ignorant enough to say that they don't believe in evolution.

What I think is super funny is that I asked a gal at my old company what she thought of Romney and she said that she wouldn't vote for someone who had done LSD. I WAS SHOCKED! Sorry but there is a little bit of difference don't cha think.
I am surprised that people are so headline oriented.
