I was thinking about getting a tattoo on my foot and was wondering if anyone has a tattoo on their foot? And was it extremely painful?

Thanks everyone! It looks like Im not going to be getting a tattoo on my foot!! HAHA. When it comes to pain Im a wimp.

I have tattoos from the back of my neck to the tops of both my feet in various places. 11 total. I have also had three kids. So I know childbirth. I have fallen asleep during 2 of my pieces. The ones on my foot didn't feel any different than any other part of my body. I'm not a fleshy girl either, so no extra padding..nerve endings pretty close together.
I think it hurts if you think of it that way. I enjoy getting inked, i enjoy the way it feels...relaxing .... Don't be so tense...breath clear and deep....bring a book to read, headphones in, no problem!

I just got a tattoo on my foot about two weeks ago. It was my first tattoo and certainly a very interesting experience. I think that feet tattoos are very cute so if you want one, then definatly get it. For me, since I had never had a tattoo before, the pain was all relative. Afterwards the artist said that the foot is one of the most sensitive places but since I went in expecting it to be a little uncomfortable it certainly wasnt bad.
If you want it, go for it, its really worth it. Healing has been so easy (especially because its flip flop weather still) and I definatly think its very pretty.

I got a tattoo on top of my foot about a year ago. The pain would be a 8 out of 10. The foot is surprisingly sensitive. It was more uncomfortable than anything, sitting up holding my leg still. Healing was easy. A G/F just had the sides of both feet done and said that it was pretty painful, her's is still healing and sore

Jen, I don't have any tattoos, but when I was watching one of the tattoo programs on cable TV, I heard the tattoo artist say the foot is fairly sensitive. Talk to the tattoo-er you have chosen about his or her experiences. They have seen many people get tattoos, so they at least have a general idea of how to choose the best areas.

I'm getting my first tattoo on the top of my foot tomorrow!!! I've been told that it's going to huhrt but that's the place where I want it. I'll have a good friend and my man there with me for support.....if you decide to get yours good luck!!! I'll let you know how it feels tomorrow!!!

One of my mom's relatives has a tattoo of a heart on her foot and she said it was the most painful thing [next to child birth]. I guess that says something about it...

Oh my goodness! Yess it hurts so bad! and i would tell you not to get it on your foot! cause when you wear your shoes the tattoo can wear off your foot!!

ill give you a male perspective first of all feet are nasty. i dont care any woman will say arent my feet cute? no there not and to bring undue attention to them is just wrong
