I have a reoccurring dream about fixing and adding security locks/devices to windows. I am not usually over fearful in my dream but it seems to always be the same theme about increasing the security in my house - mainly the windows. Any ideas about what this could mean??

To dream that you are inside looking out the window, signifies your outlook on life, your consciousness, point of view, awareness, and intuition. Or you need to go out into the larger world and experience life.. To dream you are locking doors and windows indicates that you are afraid of going out and facing the world; it may also signify opportunities that are denied and not available to you or that you have missed out on.

Of course these are common generalities and universal themes. You are the best interpreter of your own dreams. Write down all the things that locking windows mean to you personally.

You will always be the best judge of what your dreams mean. It does seem as though you are quite concerned about some kind of security or safety. The window feature makes me wonder if what you are concerned about involves what people can see. What they can see you doing perhaps. Or see into your private life. Or it might mean that you are concerned about something outside--the world, your future. Those are just my ideas. You have to look at your life and figure out what is connected to the dream. Whatever you really think it is, that's probably right.

Have you gone through a bad breakup or messy relationship? The dream may be warning you to be more cautious in those situations, both physically and emotionally. On the flip side, perhaps you aren't as careful about safety as you should, and that is what your dream says.

I like to think of these dreams as broken recorded dreams. The mind, even ever so great, is prone to hiccups. Try to stimulate your waking life with activity and make the most of the day. Hopefully it will pass.

Maybe you feel an increased threat lately. Maybe you think something trying to get into you're "fortress." Could be emotional or physical
It could be that you feel generally vulnerable:)
