I went to school with a plus size cheerleader; some teased her but overall more people praised her for saying screw everyone if I want to cheer I'll cheer. If you want to be healthy talk to your parents or counselors first; If you want to be a cheerleader; then cheer. GL

first of all.. being on a diet doesn't mean you'll starve your self... to have a healthy body... eat the RIGHT food, the RIGHT amount, at the RIGHT time.

stay away from fat and too much carbohydrates.... a balanced diet would contain: vegetable or fruits, small amount of carbs, and meat... eat plenty of vegetables preferably...also refrain from drinking beverages with caffeine like soda or coffee.. try to drink fruit juices, water...

how would you know if your eating the right amount of food? there are many diet plans out there with computations of calories and energy and so on... but this might just overwhelm you... i'd just say that you eat slowly and drink water from time to time so as not to overeat... a large amount of fiber in your diet will make your stomach feel full fast... also, it takes about 20 minutes before the brain can recognize that your stomach is already full.. so don't eat fast...

eat at the right time... if you miss meals... chances are you will overeat the next time you eat... this is because you are very very hungry and you'll have a big appetite... another thing is that when you continually starve your self, basically you are teaching your body to "reserve and conserve energy" that is, you are storing fat.. so that the next time you get hungry, the body has "extra energy" stored... also starving slows down your metabolism... again.. a defense mechanism that your body does to conserve energy.. you wouldn't want your metabolism to be slow...
