Religion can be used for good or for bad. It's not the religions that are bad - it's the human factor. But you can find facts to fit whatever preconceptions you have, and you're more likely to believe what fits your ideology.

Carla - Of *course* she had problems with faith. She was a human being. Religious people aren't the blind lemmings the left paints them out to be. I'm sure even the Pope has had times where he lost his faith.

Usually those who GIVE the negative examples are trying to discredit religion. They have an agenda, which is certainly not to allow anything positive to be said about religion.

Have a blessed day!

I think it is easier for you because you dislike religions.
Therefore, you focus on the negative rather than the positive.
You can always find more of the bad things if that is what you are looking for and if that is what you want to find.

Examples of this are taken more serious by different relegious groups and people in general. For example. every one remembers Mother Theresa for her kindness and chairty work. Now they say there are papers and diaries that tell in her own handwriting that she doubted her faith.
