All I can say is "OW!". It will constantly catch on the braces (unless you are doing Invisalign), so take it off before they put on the braces. You can always have it re-pierced when you get them off.

Good luck and get LOTS of wax.

If you have a stud or something similar in your pierced lip, it might be in your best interest to take it out. I'm not sure if the piercing will close or not, but it beats having your lip torn. If you really want a reliable answer, I would go and ask a dentist or orthadontist not that Yahoo answers aren't realiable of course :D

I would get rid of the lip piercing for good.

I would take it out. You risk the two getting hung up on each other.

I would guess you will have to remove it. Why take a chance

If you leave it in, it will constantly get caught, pulled, and torn.

But isn't that what you ppl LIKE------------PAIN?
