i was watching a video on the bohemium grove and they talked about the people pertending to sacrifice a baby(not real of coarse). but then i thought christians pretend to drink jesus's blood, right. The guy said that it was wrong to do that, but then again, right and wrong is in the eye of the beholder. So what do you think.

Just a question from a nuetral point of view.

At the last supper Jesus blessed the wine and said this is my blood and blessed the bread saying this is my body...

Basically he was saying that he was symbolizing the last sacrifice man had to make and the other was symbols so they never had to do a real blood sacrifice again. I agree that it is in the eye of the beholder. (Yes I did read your whole note)

To me the pretend sacrifices are better than real ones!

It is an example of Christ's blood, yes. But we do not drink it as if it IS Christ's blood. Communion is an act of remembering the sacrifice of Jesus' death and resurrection.

"The Lord’s Supper"

1 Corinthians 11:23 - 32

23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
27 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. 28 But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. 30 For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep. 31 But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world.

If you read Judges 11 29-39, you'll see it's OK to sacrifice your daughter if you win a battle against the Ammonites.

The folks at Bohemian Grove do not pretend to sacrifice babies. They burn "care" in an effigy that only vaguely resembles a human form.

No, Christians don't pretend to drink his blood.

Before he died, Jesus told the disciples to drink the wine and eat the bread in remembrance of him, so that they would always remember him after he was gone from them.

It's not even symbolic of his actual blood or flesh, but symbolizes that just as the wine and bread are given to us to feed us, he gave his own body and blood for us to save us.

Hope that helps.

pretending to sacrifice a baby- even pretending is wrong- how could you even ask a question like this- what part of this is ok, even if it is not real? We do not pretend to drink Jesus' blood, we drink wine or grape juice as a symbol of Christ's blood- there is a difference.

To address your initial question, uh-yes. The law does frown on such behaviour and for good reason. It's illegal and stupid.
