Why are pro-abortion groups afraid to let an unsuspecting woman know that the “thing” growing within her is a human life?
Even with that information, under current law the woman would still have the “right” (wrong though it may be) to have that life flushed out of her system

AMEN- I cannot understand that either- if they told the truth and actually aloud the woman to have an ultrasound and see her baby moving inside the womb, and his/her heart beating, do you think there would be as many abortions? NO- It is murder- if a pregnant woman was killed when she was preg. and the baby died as well it would be double murder- so therefore isn't it the same thing- a baby dies? Choice has become the word that makes abortion right? It may be legal, but everything that is legal is not right. Keep speaking truth!!

It's not pro-abortion, it's pro-choice. They support the right of the woman to choose whether or not to have an abortion. They force it on no one.

As for the 'thing', it is a *potential* human life. Life begins at the first breath. Does it have a soul? Well, I'm not really qualified to answer that question. Then again, no one on this earth is, and you can ask whatever God you happen to believe in when you die.

As for unsuspecting woman, you've obviously never been to an abortion clinic. They counsel you on the various choices, let you know all of the scientific info, and only then do they ask you if you are prepared to accept the consequences. By the way, they don't 'flush out' a fetus, they scrape the walls of the uterus and suck it out, kind of like a vacuum. You should learn a little more before posting a question.

Because they don't want the woman to think of it as a human life. They believe abortion is the right choice and will make it sound as humane as possible.
Personally I'm pro-life and find abortion deplorable. I have observed an abortion before and it is not the "gentle procedure" described to the women beforehand. I don't mean to gross anyone out, but I'll tell you anyway as I think people should know...the baby screamed in the womb. The child clearly felt the pain. To me...that is a life...not a "thing".
Great question!

I am amazed how many, many people are so deceived that they really believe an unborn child is less than human. I remember the first time I had a health class, I was in 6th grade. The nurse showed us how conception occurs, I knew instantly that it was a human life. Thank God I never allowed any moron to warp the truth.
I do understand that having a child in other than favorable circumstances is difficult and I feel for those in that situation. I have helped on many occasions provide clothing, counseling, shelter, education and I have attended births for young girls who have chosen to have their babies, I've taught them childbirth education. The answer is not to add to the problem by murdering an innocent child. The answer is to help that young woman to make right choices for her own life and for the life within her.
The deception that has been propagated about abortion is not originated by man it is demonic and therefore only a true relationship with God will enable people to break through the deception and see clearly. I have a friend who I knew before she met the Lord. She taught childbirth, breastfeeding etc and amazingly supported abortion. Once she gave her life to Jesus she told me it was like taking a blindfold off her eyes and she was able to see clearly how deceived she was.
We can not make people recognize the truth we can only live it.

Pro-Choice is not Pro-Abortion. Once people get educated to the why's and how's and what exactly is considered human (a bunch of cells at the beginning of pregnancy has no nervous system nor a brain and therefore can not feel pain) then maybe Abortion wouldn't be such an issue. I am Pro-Choice, though I disagree with Abortion in general, especially when used as Birth Control, there are times when it is necessary. People don't stop to think about the mother who is told it is highly possibly she could lose her life... the mother who has other children who Need her to begin with.... but some people feel that mother's life isn't worth saving due to the cluster of cells she has within her.... Each situation should be taken into consideration ON an individual basis. But as it stands too many people generalize the situation on a whole and just assume ALL abortions are used as Birth Control - that ALL woman who have them are doing so just to avoid responsibility... which isn't true in all cases. This is the reason it IS legal to have Abortions. As you have done here, assuming there is a group that is Pro-Abortion without really defining it to begin with... without any regard to any case that it comes down to it being necessary (some women get a certain blood disorder during pregnancy that can kill both child and mother - abortion is offered in hopes of saving the mother - I know this to be FACT as a friend of mine went through this - she had 5 children before this happened). It's rare, but it does happen... and making abortion illegal puts those types of women's lives in jeopardy.

EDUCATION is the key to the balance in this... and until both sides are willing to be educated.... willing to stop and listen to ALL of the angles, this argument will continue to be circular and mean absolutely nothing in the long run.

But please, quit assuming that all women just "have that life flushed out of her system" are doing so for selfish reasons. You are not those women, you have no idea what each individual case is... and have no right to assume such things of people you don't know.

Wow. The answers on here are horrible. They really make it look like people suck don't they?

Sorry, but I'm just being honest. Does anyone disagree?

And how can anyone say pro choice is not the same as pro abortion?

It looks like you really shed some light on the darkness of this horrible sin and exposed some (even if it's just a little) of it's ugliness. Props to you for shining some light and prayers for God's grace, mercy, forgiveness, and healing for all of those involved and hurt by it.

Because the forces against pro-abortionist speak for the unborn baby who faces certian death.
The " flushing " example you give is entirley wrong in the timing. The " flushing " should have been done when she had sex ! ABORTION IS NOT BIRTH CONTRL !!
The right decision it this case is to give the child to loving and caring people who want children. At the very east respect human life no matter what " stage " the childs development is in. Period.
What if the person who brought you into this world decided to have an abortion with you being the victum ?

Answer: You wouldn't be here to ask your question.

I can't believe it. People here are actually getting caught up in PC talk? If you are pro choice, then you aren't against abortion, so you must be pro abortion. You can't be both pro and anti, so therefore the PC brigade are the silly ones.
But to answer your question, I don't think the pro abortion groups as you call them are afraid to let a woman know what's growing inside her. She probably knows already. But that foetus isn't a legal person until it draws its first breath. The law and "morality" are different things. That's why it's legal for Iran to execute homosexuals, and for America to invade Iraq. This isn't an apology for pro lifers by the way, considering that some of them are willing to commit murder. Which seems the height of hypocricy to me. But as an obvious pro lifer yourself, I'm interested in your thoughts on harvesting organs from people before information theoretical death has occurred, or indeed about the subject of cryonics in general.

Supporters of a woman's right to choose do not usually believe that the foetus in any of its various stages IS a human life until after birth, which is why they would be reluctant to tell anyone such a thing.

It would, quite simply, be telling the person a lie to say something you do not personally believe, especially on such an issue..

This is actually what a number of religions also believe.

In any case, it is up to the individual woman to make that decision and deal with consequences of her decision.

Cheers :-)

It's amazing to me, too.
Here, where I live, we have alot of folks who breed different sorts of animals.
We have farmers who breed cattle and horses.
We have red-necks who breed pit bulls and hunting dogs.
Now, if the farmer's prize cow gets pregnant, he has no problem identifying what she is carrying as a calf. He knows that his prize mare is carrying a foal. He is proud and excited to tell you about it.
Same goes for the dog-breeder whose prize b*tch is pregnant. He will tell you excitedly about the puppies he's about to have, as if he's doing it all on his own...and he will expect you to come see them, and, hopefully, buy one.

But, if it is his girlfriend...now, that's a different story, especially if he's married...he definitely doesn't want his wife to find out, now does he? Suddenly, what the girlfriend is carrying is not a little human, it is a "clump of cells". That way, you see, he can depersonalize his baby son or daughter...
I've never figured out why that is...but I do assure you, it is so!!
