I used to have a golden retriever and it never bit anyone. It was a very sweet dog and wasn't much trouble. They key to a dog not biting is training it. Good luck! Hope this helped.

All dogs are capable of biting, It's how they're trained to determine whether they'll bite or not. Some of the smaller dogs bite more just because they get frightened more easily. (but I'm not saying all of the small dogs do) don't think that there's a dog out there that their breed doesn't bite at all, you just have to find your perfect match.

It's a dog that has been properly trained.
All dogs bite. It's how puppies explore their world. As the owner it's your job to teach them that biting hurts and they aren't to bite you.
Even if your dog has been trained not to bite, a tramatic experience (getting hit by a car) may cause them to bite you out of fear. Also if you don't pay attention to your dog and they want out of a certain situation (being petted by little kids for instance) and you force them to stay in that situation they may resort to snapping at the kids.
All dogs have the capability to bite, which is why dogs and children should always be supervised.

A stuffed toy dog. Any breed can bite if provoked, so you're not going to have any luck finding a dog that won't bite, unless you check F.A.O Schwarz.
momof2girlz, my mom has a good sized scar on her left upper arm because of an unprovoked Weimaraner bite. I have no doubt that yours are sweet and lazy, but not all of them are, unfortunately.

well...there is no dog that dosen't bite AT ALL. if you train your dog appropriately and never hit it, it wont have a reason to get aggressive with you. small dogs such as chihuahuas have snotty attitudes and like to do things their own way. honestly labs-especially black are very friendly and loyal dogs. i hate to say it but boy dogs also tend to be more loyal, and less attitude prone and generally more obedient and friendly. other suggestions would be a boxer or terrior mix. btw. NEVER blow in a dogs face. they WILL bite you

All dogs can nip or bite...it's all in how you raise them and if they come from good calm parents that generally plays into how they will turn out in demeanor....but I will let you know most little dog breeds are more snappy than larger breeds. My friend has a huge rottie who is such a big baby and a little dacshound that will chew your ankles off if you make her mad or bite your hand if you get to close to trying to pet her..in my experience little dogs are the more dangerous terrors.

A stuffed one is the only one that won't bite at all. Any breed, size, age, etc. of dog can bite.

Well, it really just depends on the way it is raised. Pittbull, though, are exempt because they were bred to kill bears and therefore have the tendency to bite. I have always said that labs were one of the best dogs, but I'm not sure anymore. See I am 15 and just recently got attacked by a black lab by my house when I touched it's collar to check for tags, so I really don't know what is the best anymore. I am currently a little scarred of dogs, but I still say that any dog has the potential to be good and the potential to be bad, it just depends on how it is raised. Good Luck!
