On Monday, when I put crickets in his cage, he jumped off his branch and could not use one of his back legs. He was dragging it. When he went for a cricket he fell over and then gave up and went to his basking branch. I soaked him for an hour in warm water after that, and he did not pass a bowel movement. The next morning, however, when I looked in the cage there was indeed a fresh poo, so I assumed it was a mild case of impaction and that it passed. Well, he was still kind of wobbly after that, so I bought some sweet potato baby food and pedialyte, and fed him a mixture of the two with a dropper. He ate it fast, and then passed another kind of loose BM. I then tried with collard greens/crickets yesterday. He ate the greens voraciously, and then as soon as he ate two crickets, he couldn't walk well with his back legs and returned to his branch. I bought more baby food/pedialyte today, gave him gatorade to drink, but he still vibrates when I touch his tail/back legs, whats wrong?

Supplement with Rep-Cal calcium daily and multivitamin once every two weeks

Every source I have reviewed says that supplementing with multivitamin too much can cause serious problems, such as Vitamin A toxicity. Recommended dosage for multivitamin is once every one to two weeks. Also, they all say once daily with calcium. Correct?

How big are the crickets? They should be no bigger than the space between his eyes when looking down at his head from above. If too large, they will cause paralysis, which can be reversed. Really check your cricket size! The smaller the better for babies. Also, check your setup and make sure the basking spot is 105F (measure with a probe digital thermometer only), fresh UVB lighting, NO loose sand or other loose substrate, and daily misting and or bathing/soaking every other day until he's older. Here is a link telling you more about this serious problem:

Ur doing everything correctly what u could use is some liquid calcium if it is not getting enough UVA and UVB it might b a sign of calcium deficiency not impaction. Still make sure u maitain its health and appetite. U can do just as u r doing or u can use some electrolytes from exo terra, it does the job you just put it(beardie) in the water about shoulder level add a couple of drops(electrolytes) and it helps w/ appetite strength all that K good luck!

i agree with kimbeej, make sure the crix arent to big...double check your temps and general husbandry. you stated in your question that you had soaked him for an hour...that is to long. he should be soaked 2-3 times a week for about 10-15 minutes each time...and he could still have an impaction although he had a bowel movement. are you using calcium and multivitamin supplements? dont let this go, get him to a vet if this continues...

Honestly Im not much for lizards but I own turtles, snakes and dogs and whenever they get exited, they shake, well most of them. When I feed the snake after a month and a half, shes so exited that she shakes her tail so fast that it sounds like its ratteling. I thats not it, theres probably something wrong with the poor thing.
